Is NIN registration done at the Nigeria High Commission?

No. The Nigeria High Commission in London handles consular services such as passports. NIN enrolment for Nigerians abroad is carried out at diaspora enrolment centres linked to NIMC's enrolment system. Going to the High Commission for a NIN will usually be a wasted trip.

How to choose a NIN centre in London

If you are comparing options, look for:

  • A real address you can visit, with opening hours.
  • Published fees that separate official NIMC and NPC fees from the centre's own fee. Ours are on our fees page.
  • Clear requirements before you book. Ours are on our requirements page.
  • Bookable appointments, so you are not left waiting.
  • Honesty about timing. Nobody can guarantee when NIMC will issue your NIN.

Be careful with anyone who only operates through social media, cannot give you an address, or offers to register you without capturing your fingerprints.

Getting to our Dalston centre

We are on Kingsland Road in Dalston, in the London Borough of Hackney, East London. Dalston is served by London Overground (Dalston Junction and Dalston Kingsland stations) and by buses along Kingsland Road. Use Google Maps or the TfL Journey Planner for directions from your area.

What happens when you get here

We check your documents, take payment, confirm your details with you and capture your photograph, fingerprints and signature. You leave with an enrolment slip. Find out more on our London NIN enrolment centre page.

Questions to ask any NIN centre before you pay

  • What is the official NIMC fee and what is your fee?
  • Do I need an NPC attestation first?
  • What documents do I need for my situation?
  • Will I get an enrolment slip with a transaction ID?
  • Who do I contact if my NIN is delayed?

We are happy to answer all of these before you book.
